The room was designed by Addison Mizner, the Resort’s founder and architect. It is truly grand with beautiful ceiling detail and gold-leafed pillars making for a truly romantic setting. The brides dress was custom designed by Rene Ruiz , couture designer in Coral Gables, Miami . She carried a bouquet of white peonies. The bridesmaids carried plum mini callas which perfectly complimented their dresses.
In contrast to the grand old world architecture in the room , a contemporary design was selected by the bride and groom. An acrylic canopy with a custom motif complimented with a hedge of hanging orchids was designed for the ceremony. The floor plan consisted of a combination of round and royal tables, acrylic chivari chairs and three different centerpieces.
