Looking back on Barmitzvah’s I have planned , this was one of my favorites. Our Barmitzvah boy and his family had a passion for yachting , so the theme for his barmitzvah was an easy decision. The barmitzvah took place at the Boca Raton Marriott at Town Center which recently completed a fabulous renovation. The color palette for the event was navy, white and yellow. This is a great theme to shop at thrift stores and local home goods stores for useable items you can use to decorate. Photography for this event was Jeff Kolodny Photography.
The cocktail hour took place on the outside covered patio adjoining the ballroom. Light house lamps with candles were set on the cocktail tables. The place card table held a model sailboat with mini Adirondack chair place cards set on a bed of sand and shells.
The ballroom was designed using square tables with a navy nautical stripe linen’s and a white chivari chair which gave the space a crisp nautical feel. The centerpieces were custom sails with the table number embroidered on each sail set on a bed of yellow roses. Different model sail boat’s were used as decor for kids dining tables. The ceiling was covered in white paper lanterns.
The food stations were named after different yacht clubs .
Some dessert ideas which I gathered off Pinterest. I love the fondant waves on the cake.
