Planning a Winter Wonderland Themed Bar Mitzvah – here are some fabulous winter themed decor and ideas from a recent Bar Mitzvah we planned. Even though in Florida it is pretty much summer all year long , the few cold days we experience still evokes a need to throw a winter themed event or holiday party. Winter wonderland is a popular theme for Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s. Kids with a passion for winter sports and mom’s vision of a white space with “cool” event decor. Austin and his family loved snow skiing, the theme was perfect for everyone to enjoy.
The scene was set with a 40 foot backdrop of snow covered mountains placed behind a 16 foot white acrylic bar lit with blue led lighting. The entire space was filled with blue lighting to create a cold wintery feel.
The centerpiece was spectacular ! A canopy structure of white branches with tiny white lights and hanging snowflakes covered the table. White roses, hydrangeas were set at the base with dendrobium orchids intertwined in the branches. The tables were covered in white linens with blue under lighting. Blue light up ice cubes were placed in the water glass at each place setting.
The kids area was filled with white couches and cocktail tables . The logo of a downhill skier was etched into a lighted ice sculpture set on tables.
For adults only, winter inspired signature drinks are an essential element. A Blue Martini was the perfect drink selected.
Ingredients:( makes 2 martini’s)
3 ounces or about a 1/3 cup of gin or vodka
1/2 ounce or a tablespoon of dry vermouth
